RFA for RCE Recompetition

Update: On May 30, SERCEB submitted an application to NIAID in response to the RFA for the RCE recompetition. In our application, we proposed 10 research programs, with a total of 25 projects, and 8 scientific cores. Reveiw of the RCE applications will occur in the fall of 2008, and awards will be made some time after the New Year 2009, with a start date of March 1, 2009. 

 


Career Development for Basic Scientists in Emerging Infections and Biodefense

The SERCEB Career Development for Basic Scientists in Emerging Infections and Biodefense program provides support for investigators to take sabbaticals to train in new techniques in basic science research in emerging infectious disease and biodefense. The Career Development Awards include up to $50K for basic science training in research related to biodefense and emerging infectious diseases.

Developmental Projects Grant Program

The SERCEB Developmental Projects Grants Program funds novel and innovative proposals to boost research in development of drugs, diagnostics and vaccines for emerging infections. Investigators at institutions throughout Region IV are eligible for to apply for these grant funds. RFAs for these awards are issued at the discretion of the steering committee.
